What if Vietnam hosted the Olympics? This was a branding project based on the overall look for a country that has yet hosted the Olympics. I chose to do Vietnam, one of the most underrepresented countries in Southeast Asia. I kept a very simple color palette, utilizing red and yellow from the Vietnam Flag, and kept text color simple with a soft black. Posters were inspired by the Constructivism movement. Pictograms and overall type choice was influenced by traditional Vietnamese calligraphy and the logo is a dragon. In Vietnam, Dragons are a symbol of luck, power, and strength: all characteristics of athletes in the Olympics.
